This page describes what we actually collect when you use eyeballs.wtf, why we collect it, and how long we keep it.
What we collect
| Data | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Email address given at checkout | To send your receipt and a link to manage your entry | As long as your entry or payment record exists |
| Payment details | Handled entirely by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details | Not applicable, we don't hold it |
| A daily-rotating pseudonymous visitor identifier | Derived from your IP address and browser, used only to avoid counting the same person twice for the Seen metric | Unlinkable to you after 24 hours; never written to permanent storage |
We don't have accounts, so there's no password, profile, or persistent login to store.
Who else sees it
We share data with the vendors that make the service run: our payment provider, our hosting provider, our database provider, our cache provider, and our email provider. Each only receives what it needs to do its job; none of them are permitted to use it for anything else.
How long we keep things
- YouTube-sourced content data (titles, thumbnails, descriptions) is refreshed or deleted within 30 days.
- The salt used to generate the visitor identifier rotates every 24 hours, at which point the previous day's identifiers become permanently unlinkable.
- Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep them.
Access and deletion
Because there are no accounts, we verify any access or deletion request against the email address used at checkout. Write to [contact@eyeballs.wtf] and tell us which entry or payment the request relates to.
